Canary Yellow is a tiny, color-filled boutique inn with a personality all its own. Located in the heart of downtown Wilmington, our guest rooms sit directly above our fully operational coffee shop and boutique, creating an experience that feels more like staying in a local neighborhood than a traditional hotel. Canary Yellow is located at 16 N 8th Street in Wilmington, NC, in the Soda Pop District. Our location puts guests close to the restaurants, coffee shops, shops, entertainment, and attractions of downtown Wilmington.
We’re a small, owner-operated property, and the owners live onsite. You may even meet us and our 2 dogs during your stay! We love being here to welcome guests, share local recommendations, and make your visit feel personal.
Coffee Is Literally Downstairs
Our coffee shop is fully operational seven days a week, serving guests and locals throughout the week. Start your morning by walking downstairs for your coffee, browse the boutique, and then head out to explore Wilmington.
Because the coffee shop is an active business, you should expect some daytime activity and the energy that comes with being above a working café and retail space. If you love being surrounded by local life, it's part of the charm.
A Downtown Stay Comes With Downtown Sounds
Canary Yellow is located next to the Wilmington Fire Department, so guests may occasionally hear emergency vehicles, sirens or other activity associated with the station. We want to be upfront about this before you arrive.
